On his new album "The War Is Over", which was created during the corona pandemic, musician Johnson McCloud deals with the special circumstances and requirements of this time. During the exit restrictions, Deweer had the opportunity to think about himself, his environment and, last but not least, about interpersonal relationships and media self-portrayal to process these impressions on “The War Is Over”. In this regard, the title of the album can be interpreted in different ways: On the one hand, this exudes euphoria, an anticipation of a new start together after the time of the Corona-related, cultural standstill. On the other hand, the exclamation can also be interpreted in terms of resignation or hopelessness. Like the current situation, the album fluctuates back and forth between both emotional states, but without wanting to commit itself entirely.

Auf seinem neuen Album „The War Is Over“, welches während der Corona-Pandemie entstanden ist, beschäftigt sich Musiker Johnson McCloud mit den besonderen Gegebenheiten und Anforderungen dieser Zeit. Während der Ausgangsbeschränkungen ergab sich für Deweer die Gelegenheit, über sich, seine Umgebung und nicht zuletzt über zwischenmenschliche Beziehungen und mediale Selbstdarstellung nachzudenken, um diese Eindrücke auf „The War Is Over“ zu verarbeiten. Diesbezüglich lässt sich der Titel des Albums auf verschiedene Weise interpretieren: Einerseits strahlt dieser Euphorie aus, eine Vorfreude auf einen gemeinsamen Neustart nach der Zeit des Corona bedingten, kulturellen Stillstandes. Andererseits kann der Ausruf auch im Sinne von Resignation oder Ausweglosigkeit gedeutet werden. Wie die aktuelle Situation, so schwankt auch das Album zwischen beiden Gefühlszuständen hin und her, ohne sich jedoch vollständig festlegen zu wollen.
